An EP was recorded in March 2023 at Masterchord Studios on a Steinway Model D grand piano, featuring guitarist Nigel Price and double bassist Adam King.
The title track is a new arrangement of the jazz ballad When Sunny Gets Blue. This is followed by Lullaby In Rhythm, originally released by Benny Goodman in 1938, framed by a new intro and outro. The trio swings at a medium tempo. The third track is Dr. Jackal, an uptempo blues, the title a play on the name of its composer Jackie McLean.
